What's the big idea?

Back in high school we had a project where we'd start with a huge piece of butcher paper and starting filling it up with drawings. It could be doodles, detailed stuff, whatever, but the point was to fill that entire space with tons of little creative drawings, resulting in a giant mural of creative visual delights.

With fascination, people would look at the finished work for hours at a time and still never quite see everything. The idea for MyDrawings.com came from that singular experience, and a desire to see the idea bloom on a massive scale.

Think of it as "Social Doodling".

With added features such as tagging, custom groups, and locking tools, MyDrawings is bound to become THE place to doodle online.

Who came up with this idea?

Scott Johnson, that's who. He is the author and artist for the popular webcomic, ExtraLife.

So where are we with the project?

We are still in the beta stage but much of the core is complete. We will be adding many new features, including the following:

- Your own drawing grid! (more on that later)
- Slide shows
- Group doodling

And much more. There are lots of little things we have on our list to do.
